Camping
O Moinho
Welcome to our campsite. We aim to keep it small-scale, allowing us to offer personalized attention to all our guests. You can choose your own pitch. The campsite has a field with tall trees for approximately 60 pitches. Electricity is available. There is also a paved area for campervans.
Permanent accommodations include two mobile homes for self-catering and four new wooden bungalows. Four new barbecues are also available for free use. The bathhouse, with showers, toilets, and sinks, is located in the center of the campsite.
It features traditional Portuguese tilework.
The reception area has a small covered terrace where coffee and light alcoholic drinks are served. It’s a cozy place to gather and enjoy the sunset. Free Wi-Fi is available. Pets are not allowed on the campsite during August, but are welcome all other months!

Castanheira de Pera
Castanheira de Pera is located 5 kilometers from the campsite. The village’s charm is reflected in its architecture, with traditional Portuguese houses lining the cobbled streets. It is known for its warm and welcoming community, with numerous small shops, including a butcher and baker. There is a weekly fish market and clothing market.
One of the highlights is the beautiful Praia das Rocas, an outdoor wave pool with a bar, restaurant, and palm trees. It’s the ideal place for the whole family to enjoy a day of relaxation and recreation. Castanheira de Pera is a small village with ample amenities for all your daily needs. There are plenty of terraces and picturesque restaurants. It’s the perfect place for anyone seeking a relaxing retreat in the heart of Portugal.

Fluvial Beach of Poço Corga
The magnificent Fluvial Beach of Poço Corga is bathed by the ribeira de Pera, is located 3 km from the center of Castanheira de Pera. Ideal for those who enjoy contact with nature, it offers a picnic area under an extensive centenary set of oaks, a restaurant and The Lagar Museum of Corga.
Praia das Rocas
Waves 80 km from the sea! It is a swimming pool with artificial waves and extreme sports that makes the largest river beach in the country a must go destination!
Serra da Lousã
The Serra da Lousã reaches its highest point in Alto do Trevim. Along the mountain are small villages of Shale like the Talasnal, Casal Novo and Chiqueiro.
In Alto do Trevim, there is Santo António da Neve, where you can see 3 of the 7 wells built there and the chapel of Santo António (1786), both classified as National Monuments.
For lovers of walking and mountain biking there are several rails scattered that offer challenges through narrow streets and winding paths.
With the fall of the night, it is sometimes possible to observe deer and wild boar!

Mobile homes accommodation
The mobile homes offer all the necessary accommodations for a self-contained stay of several nights. They include a fully equipped kitchen with a separate dining area and living room with a TV, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a toilet. Due to their age, some units show signs of wear and tear, and we have lowered the prices.

Bungalow accommodation
The new bungalows accommodate 4 to 5 people and are designed for overnight stays. Preparing a small meal is possible in the kitchen with dining area.

- Bedroom with double bed

Caravans & campers pitches
Under the trees that provide shelter from the sun, there are four pitches on the campsite. The surface is paved. Chemical toilet disposal is available. Of course, you can also pitch in the field.
Tent pitches
There are several electricity hookups on the grounds. We don’t offer pitches; you’re free to pitch wherever you like. There are plenty of tall trees to provide shade from the sun. The Pera River flows alongside the field, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
